What Junior Warriors helps children build
More time to practise
One-hour sessions give children time to warm up, repeat skills and learn well.
Technique with clear purpose
We start linking stance, footwork and hand work so movement becomes recognisable.
Goals that build responsibility
Grading and structured drills help children stay focused on the next step.
Structured training for growing children
Junior Warriors gives children aged 7 to 13 a stronger technical base while keeping training supportive and age-appropriate. In these one-hour classes, we move beyond simple activity-led learning and start to develop recognisable Wing Chun stances, footwork, hand techniques and controlled partner drills. This helps children understand not just what to do, but why the movement matters. If your child wants more focus, clearer goals or a better way to build confidence, our structured approach gives them room to improve through practice.

More practice time and clearer progression
Sessions run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, giving children time to warm up, practise and revisit skills properly. Training at Wing Chun also develops concentration, cooperation and responsibility, because children need to listen, work with partners and stay measured under instruction. Practical self-defence is taught through awareness, positioning and calm responses. Progress at Wing Chun becomes easier for children to see through regular repetition and grading goals.
Frequently asked questions
What do Junior Warriors classes involve?
Children work through warm-ups, movement practice, recognisable techniques and controlled partner drills in an age-appropriate way. The longer class time also lets us revisit skills properly, so children can learn through repetition instead of rushing from one task to the next.
Will children work with partners in class?
Yes, but only in a controlled and age-appropriate way. Partner work helps children understand timing, position and how to cooperate with others. We guide it closely and build it up as confidence, concentration and technical control improve.
How does grading help children in Junior Warriors?
Grading gives children clear goals to work towards and a way to see their progress over time. It helps many students stay motivated because they can understand what they have learned, what still needs work and what the next stage looks like.
